Get ready Jr. High! We are so excited to welcome you to campus for our third annual Jr.High weekend!

Upon Arrival:

  1. When you enter Caronport off Hwy 1 keep following College Dr. until our main parking lot is on your left. Pull into the parking lot and park your vehicle.

  2. You will then enter our main Academic building through entrance 1 and head into our Edwards Chapel. Our registration team will be ready to greet you and get you checked-in for the weekend!

  3. Once checked-in you will return to your vehicle and drive to your assigned weekend accommodations and park your vehicle in the parking lot closest to your stay. We ask that you do not move your vehicle for the remainder of the weekend to minimize traffic.

Parking:

Please review the map below to locate available parking throughout the weekend. All Public Parking and Student Parking lots will be available for you to park. We only ask that you DO NOT park in our Dining Hall (17) parking lot as we will have food deliveries throughout the weekend.

Check-In: Doors open at 1:00 PM

At check-in you will receive a registration packet with all the information you will need for the weekend.

Information Packet Includes:

  1. Welcome to YQ info letter

  2. Where you are staying (dorms or other accommodations)

  3. Your event wristbands (to be worn for the entire weekend)

  4. Event Handbooks (one for every retreater in your group)

  5. Youth Worker name tags (to be worn for the entire weekend)

  6. Youth Worker seminar and lounge information

  7. Campus Map

    *Please note that only the point leader or one volunteer for each group needs to go to our check-in table.

Kickoff Session: Doors open at 6:00 PM

If this is your first year at Youth Quake, please be aware that our kickoff session is full of flashing lights, loud music, and items flying through the air. We kickoff off the weekend with a competition of the sections and battle it out through large scale games.


*All seating in our chapel is first come, first served. If you want a particular section or seat for you and your group you must arrive early. Doors for this session open at 6:00pm.

Party Session: 7:00 PM

Pick-up your Amazing Quake starting package during check-in and Kait will direct you when to open after kickoff is over.

Youth Cake 2.0: Saturday Option

Youth Cake 2.0: Sign-Ups for this event will happen at check-in, first come first served.

Option Session 3: 10:30 - 11:30 AM

  1. YQ Interns – God Doesn’t Have Grandkids: Growing up in a Christian home can be challenging, and at some point, you must decide what you believe and what you will stand for. You get to embark on a quest of making your faith more than what your parents have raised you to believe. The four YQ interns understand your struggle; each of us were raised in Christian families! Join us to discover that you’re not alone in your experience, and gain practical tools to begin your journey of apprenticing under Jesus.

  2. Briercrest Worship – Why Worship: What is worship? Why do we do it? Join Briercrest Worship as we work through these two questions followed by a time of unplugged musical worship.

  1. Ellen Duffield– Brave Girls: Studies show that a woman’s confidence peaks at age 9, significantly impacting her ability to step into all God is calling her to be and do. Age 9!?! This highly interactive workshop, led by the founder of BRAVE Girls (bravegirls.ca), weaves scriptures, stories and activities that help us to find our BRAVE way. Be sure to bring a notebook with you for the scrapbooking exercise.

  2. Karym Coleman – Brave Boys: Becoming a Brave Boy can be a challenging journey. This highly interactive workshop offers scriptural storiesas well as powerful models, tools and fun activities around identity, courage and wise decision making to helpyoung men grow into the fullness of who God created them to be. Be sure to bring a notebook with you forone of the hands-on activities.

  • Sleeping stuff (pillow, sleeping bag or blanket, and foam mat)

  • Toiletries (toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant, towel, & soap)

  • Clothing (enough for 2 days & check the weather before you pack)

  • Some extra cash for snacks & merch!

REMINDER: Our dorms are equipped with two single beds, we recommend you pack a single foam mat or sleeping pad for the floor.
